The Hampton Church of God has been blessed by the dynamic leadership of Elder James S. Woods, Sr. since May, 2011. He is supported in the ministry by his dedicated wife, First Lady Pamela Woods, Assistant Pastor Tommy Smith, and a committed ministerial and deacon staff.
Church focus and goals: Elder Woods believes deeply that the body of believers should be focused on outreach, which is accomplished by establishing and building relationships with the surrounding community through youth activities and parental development. Internally, the focus is on strengthening current structures and updating methods while building strong family relationships and brotherly bonds.
Personal Interest: Elder Woods shares that he loves meeting people when they are at a low point in life and helping them grow into mature believers.
Favorite Scripture: Elder Woods’ guiding scriptural passages are: Revelation 1:5b “Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood…” and 2 Corinthians 3:5. “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God;”
